I work with historical ceiling lamp glasses from different eras that hung in buildings of all kinds all over the world. Whether in stately or simple houses, in private or public buildings, these glasses are an expression of a design language and illuminated the respective events below. Not only do they showcase outstanding craftsmanship that is rarely produced today, but they are also cultural artifacts that reflect the history and style of their era.
Over the past three years, I have worked with great passion on the "connected" series. This series is my interpretation that revives the design language of past times. By combining different styles of ceiling lamp glass and connecting the cities and countries where I find these glasses, my lighting objects also take on a cultural meaning. Each glass is carefully fitted with a connecting piece that either harmoniously complements the design language of the glasses or deliberately creates a contrast.
